Morgan is an independent privacy researcher based in the United States with over 5 years of hands-on VPN testing experience. Before founding Privaroo, Morgan worked in IT security consulting, evaluating remote access tools and advising organizations on safe browsing practices.

Testing methodology

Every VPN reviewed on Privaroo is tested using a standardized 5-point protocol:

DNS leak detection — via dnsleaktest.com and ipleak.net
WebRTC exposure testing — across Firefox and Chrome
IPv6 leak verification — on devices with IPv6 enabled
Kill switch verification — through simulated connection drops
Speed benchmarking — multiple times per day, across multiple server locations

Tests are conducted on Windows 11, macOS Sonoma and iOS 18 (iPhone 15 for mobile-specific reviews). Real-world venue testing includes airports, hotels and coffee shops.
